The Magic Porridge Pot

Is that true or did you hear it on the BBC ?

The problem a  BBC journalist  has to overcome, they  are taught, is the mastering of the art of objectivity and subjectivity. They  must rise above their own notions, prejudices and beliefs  and move towards a rationale of  objectivity  over  the subject content.   The BBC  journalist is  taught to analyse  the subject within  itself ( the ordinary, everyday person) and rise above  and be objective over, them.  Once the BBC journalist  has mastered that  gift,  they  have gained  the title of objectivity, the  spell  books state...

Objectivity to the BBC   is a  form supremacy,   one which   truly proposes a more objective theory about the ordinary person and its ‘ordinariness’ of the others everyday lives and practices. A mystical gift no less!   One that the  BBC  holds dear. The executive  committee has the spell to  release the contents of the magic porridge pot, no less.  A mystical gift indeed!

The problem inherent with this  ' mystical gift '  is not in the ‘ not ordinary’ persons’ ability to try to be objective or even the attempt to be as objective as one professional can be.  No! that is not problematic!   The problem with the BBCs  objectivity, when studying and analysing  the ordinary person, as a subject, is the auctorship, authorship or the mastership of authority and  ownership of the ordinary subject and its ordinary subjectivity.  They forget to say : ' Stop little pot...Stop!'

A messy mess of porridge  Indeed !

Any  assumption in the power of the  BBC  elite, that thinks they are   objective fails to recognise that the BBC , typologise , re tell and  analyise  the ' others' story in a  self delusionary way.   For example, If we ask any  BBC journalist to retell their  own story  then we may   encounter problems of subjectivity of ownership, editing and re telling of any story.   If we question the  BBC shall we all  drown in porridge?

Or shall we shall we all say ; ' stop little pot stop! '
