The Magnificent Self

The Magnificent Self

For what appears within UK fables and narratives, various governments have told, retold, rehearsed and rehashed the narrative of the magnificent/ness of the virtues of the self
From folk tales of  yesterday  to  a by chat of the common day, the discussion of the self and community  has become A HOLY GRAIL,  AN elixir of eternal salvation,  to be sought after.
The individual is both the worst enemy and equally the saviour of ‘society’. (According to the moral of the story.) Or is that Vice versa?
YET!
Does not, Democratic Socialism require a community
Does not, Neo liberalism and corporatism require a community.
Does not, The Conservative Party require the ‘unionists’ and therefore require a community.
The problem inherent within  a and the  ‘magnificent individual’   is  ‘not the  ordinariness of persons’   or A ‘persons’ ability to try to be objective or even the attempt to be as objective as one  can be,  but in the issue of a condition called ‘community’ and ‘unionism’ .
The idea of a ‘magnificent self’, questions the notion of  A and THE ‘community’ and ‘Unionists appear a tag on...
On the 13th July 2016:  Theresa May, delivered her first statement as Prime Minister in Downing Street, in a back street of London.  UK.
Here is an annotated version of that speech:
“I have just been to Buckingham Palace, where Her Majesty the Queen has asked me to form a new government, and I accepted....In David Cameron, I follow in the footsteps of a great, modern Prime Minister...Because not everybody knows this, but the full title of my party is the Conservative and Unionist Party, and that word ‘unionist’ is very important to me.”
